Daniel Farke is expecting a quiet January transfer window at Leeds United.
Farke has already confirmed that the priority next month is the retention of key players such as Crysencio Summerville, though a new left-back is also on the agenda.
Despite Farke’s comments, that has not stopped Leeds from being linked with a number of players ahead of the window reopening, one of which includes Fluminense winger Jhon Arias.
Leeds are said to be among a number of clubs including West Ham United and Rangers who have scouted Arias this season, with the 26-year-old having enjoyed a fine season in Brazil.
Arias has scored 12 goals and provided 17 assists in 61 matches over the course of the campaign and has also opened the door for a potential exit in January.

Having scored in Fluminense’s 2-0 Club World Cup semi-final win over Al Ahly earlier this week, Arias was playing in the final of the competition against Manchester City last night.
Arias played 90 minutes in the match but could not do anything as City ran out comfortable 4-0 winners to lift the trophy thanks to goals from Julian Alvarez (2), Phil Foden and a Nino own goal.
Fluminense are now not back in action until January 17 and so if clubs were to firm up their interest, last night’s defeat to City could well be his final game for the Brazilian side.
Leeds aren’t really in need of a winger heading into the January window but if someone leaves it could well force Farke to enter the market and look to bring in a replacement.
There is always speculation surrounding the future of Willy Gnonto after the summer debacle, while Jaidon Anthony is unlikely to be happy with how much football he has played recently.
