Fluminense star Jhon Arias has hinted he could be open to leaving in the January window with Leeds United, Rangers and West Ham United linked with a move for the Colombia star next month.
Arias, 26, has been on fire during the 2023 Brazilian campaign. He has had a hand in 28 goals during his 59 appearances in all competitions for his club. His contract at Fluminense is due to expire in 2026.
Such form has attracted interest from Leeds – as well as Rangers and West Ham. Crystal Palace, Burnley and Wolves all want to lure him to the Premier League too, as do Championship high-flyers Leicester.
It is unclear how much would be required to land Arias come January – but the player himself has now suggested he could be open to a potential. Talking to ESPN, he hinted at a possible January transfer.
“I have a contract until 2026. We are close to a window. In football everything changes a lot. I’m happy, but I don’t like promising things. Disrespectful to say anything else. Don’t know what will happen next.”

Arias would be an incredible signing for any club in the Championship and certainly, a serious addition for those in the Premier League. At 26, he is young enough to make an impression in European football.
Arias has never made the leap to Europe but his form in the ever-improving Brazilian division is serious proof that he can go and do it on these shores. But he needs a club where he would play regularly.
Do Leeds need another winger? Right now, no. But if Willy Gnonto decides to leave in January then he will require replacing. Jaidon Anthony is only on loan. If Gnonto goes, then Arias would be a top signing.
