Leeds United are desperately light on full-backs ahead of their return to the Premier League. But there are some now being linked with the club.
There are a few positions in this Leeds United side that seem to be lacking in depth right now. Both full-back positions certainly fall into that category.
Junior Firpo looks set to leave Leeds United as a free agent this summer, along with Sam Byram too. That really leaves Daniel Farke with just Jayden Bogle as his only established full-back option at the club.
The likes of Isaac Schmidt remains but what role he plays next season remains to be seen. But we’re now seeing some potential full-back signings linked with the club.
Leeds United are keen to sign Kyle Walker-Peters when his Southampton contract expires this summer. So too are Fulham, though, and so it won’t be an easy pursuit for the Whites.
Another name linked is Farke’s former Norwich City man Max Aarons.

Don Goodman warns Max Aarons about potential Leeds United move
Leeds United have been linked with Aarons ahead of the summer. Currently on loan at Valencia from Bournemouth, Sevilla are keen to sign the £13m-rated Aarons, although Leeds seem to hold a definite interest in the flying right-back.
Speaking to Football League World though, pundit Don Goodman has warned the 25-year-old Aarons about a summer move to Elland Road, insisting that he won’t get much game time because of Bogle’s fine form in 2024/25. Goodman said: “The move to Bournemouth didn’t really work out for Max Aarons.
“He played half a season last season, really, on the periphery, and at Valencia he has mustered only three appearances this season. So he is a player who hasn’t played regular football in quite a while, and given how well Jayden Bogle did this season, I would be a little bit puzzled at that, should it happen, really.
“I’m not sure how much game-time Max would get in the Premier League with Leeds United.”

What happened when Leeds United last tried to sign Max Aarons
Farke is the man who gave Aarons his first-team debut in football. Aarons has spoken positively about Farke in the past and there’s been multiple times where Farke has tried for a reunion with Aarons in West Yorkshire.
But it was reported that Aarons snubbed a move to Leeds United to instead join Bournemouth in 2023. Although reports that Aarons literally walked out of his Leeds medical were later deemed to be false.
With new links emerging it suggests there was no bad blood between Farke and Aarons. Although Goodman makes a good point; Aarons might not even want to join Leeds knowing that Bogle would be the first choice right-back next season.
