Leeds United have been linked with players from far and wide during this January transfer window so far. But the Whites may also do some domestic business with Premier League and Championship names on their radar.
Previously, Daniel Farke said that Leeds United would be quiet in January. But after two frustrating draws against beatable opponents in Blackburn Rovers and Hull City, Farke may have to go back on his word.
Inevitably, there’ll be one or two signings at Elland Road. But given Leeds’ poor form, we might see Farke’s transfer priorities change, or the club’s owners put a bit more money towards player signings.
So far, at least 19 new players have been linked with Leeds. There’s players of all positions linked with moves to Elland Road, with the goalkeeper position somewhat contested after Illan Meslier’s nightmare display against Hull last time out.
At the other end of the pitch, few strikers have been linked. But Leeds United News can now reveal one striker who is wanted by Farke and the 49ers.

Leeds United considering bid for Middlesbrough star Emmanuel Latte Lath
Leeds United News understand that Leeds are looking for a new no.9 in January, and one player they like and are considering a bid for is Middlesbrough’s Emmanuel Latte Lath. Although there is significant Premier League interest in him with West Ham, Ipswich and Leicester City amongst those looking.
Latte Lath, 26, scored 16 goals in 30 Championship outings for Boro last time round. This season, the Ivorian already has 10 in 26 league games, which is as many as Leeds’ top scorer Joel Piroe has right now.
Middlesbrough signed Latte Lath from Atalanta in a £4.2million deal last summer. He’s udner contract at the Riverside until 2027 and Middlesbrough have the option to extend his deal by a further year.

Leeds United also eyeing another Championship star
Latte Lath is just one Championship man on the Whites’ radar. Recently, Leeds United News revealed that Coventry City’s Ben Sheaf if a target for Leeds United.
Other second tier names have been mentioned alongside a move to Elland Road in the build up to January, including Sheffield United’s Gustavo Hamer, although a move for him has never seemed likely given the fact that Sheffield United and Leeds are both vying for promotion.
Burnley duo Josh Brownhill and Mike Tresor have also been mentioned. But for the same reason as Hamer, they too seem unlikely to be heading to Leeds in January.
