Leeds United are looking to defend an incredible record against Bournemouth when they host the Cherries at Elland Road in the Premier League.

Daniel Farke and his Leeds attack sparked into life at Molineux as Dominic Calvert-Lewin scored their first goal from open play this season.

The Leeds striker has received significant praise after the game, and Peter Crouch believes he could help inspire the Whites to another win against Bournemouth.

Leeds’ Premier League game away against Bournemouth ended in disaster as Javi Gracia’s side meekly surrendered in a 4-1 defeat in Leeds’ relegation season.

However, their record at Elland Road is significantly better, as Farke looks to defend an unbeaten record against the Cherries in West Yorkshire.

Leeds United have never lost against Bournemouth at Elland Road in the league

Leeds won their first-ever home fixture against Bournemouth in the FA Cup in 1939, and the Whites have maintained a perfect home record against the Cherries ever since.

According to 11v11, Leeds have won every game they have played against Bournemouth at Elland Road in the league, in a winning streak which stretches to six games, along with one League Cup win.

Leeds United’s home record vs Bournemouth:

Leeds’ last home game against Bournemouth was a thrilling 4-3 win on the 5th November 2022 when Crysencio Summerville scored a dramatic late winner, after Leeds came back from 3-1 down.

Farke will be hoping that his side can maintain their incredible home form and avoid the fate Gracia suffered in 2023.

Pascal Struijk confident ahead of Premier League clash

Leeds United defender Pascal Struijk is one of the few players who played in their dramatic home win against Bournemouth in 2022, with Willy Gnonto also featuring from the bench.

Struijk has been an important part of the Leeds defence this season, keeping new signing Jaka Bijol out of the side, and Struijk is confident that Leeds can secure three points to maintain their impressive home record.

Speaking to Premier League Productions, via BeIn Sports, Struijk said: “They’re [Bournemouth] a decent team, they’ve got a good coach, they’ve got them performing since last year, and they’ve obviously started well in the league.

“Our fans, every single year, I say this, they’re amazing. When we go to Elland Road and we play at home, we feel like we’ve got an extra player on the team.

“When the crowd gets going, I’ve not experienced anything like it. So, yeah, when the game is starting and they are there behind us, we can play extra well.”
