The clever clause Leeds United had inserted into Manor Solomon’s deal from Tottenham

As their status for the Premier League next season has now been confirmed, there will be plenty of elements to consider.

One of whom is Manor Solomon, who still needs to decide whether he is staying at Elland Road or leaving.

The Israelian has shown his brilliance under Daniel Farke, and no doubt the Leeds boss would want to try and secure a deal for him.

Now promoted, Solomon will consider Leeds in the summer, and after hinting at staying following the step-up to the Premier League, this looks like the most likely outcome.

But the 49ers deserve some credit for this clever clause inserted, which could’ve made Daniel Levy and Tottenham look foolish.

The clever clause Leeds United had in Manor Solomon’s contract

It’s become clear that fans love the 25-year-old, and he’s paid back that love with his performances.

Although he’s fallen under scrutiny at times as Solomon has been unimpressive at times for Leeds.

But on the whole, he’s been a revelation.

The overall deal has looked like great value, and considering the clause the 49ers included in his contract, he could’ve saved the owners thousands.

According to The Athletic, a source with knowledge of Solomon’s negotiations said his loan deal included a ‘unique’ clause based on his recent injury history.

The Whites do not have to pay their share of Solomon’s salary during any period the winger is out with a knee injury, which has been a recurring problem in his career.

Leeds will find Solomon useful in the Premier League

The beauty in Solomon being allowed to leave Tottenham is that the winger has Premier League experience.

This is a clear advantage to Farke, who needs players who have experience in the league and have also proved their worth, like Solomon did with Fulham for a period.

Long ball accuracy %60%

Solomon’s brief form in the top flight could be a clear indicator that this transfer should happen.

Although it comes with the risk of the winger’s knee injury cropping up again, the Whites will no doubt prepare for the scenario if it happens, judging by their initiative to include a hidden clause.
