Leeds United fans will definitely be interested in the prospect of nabbing Wilson Isidor from Sunderland to add insult to injury following their 2-1 win at Elland Road.

Daniel Farke will have full focus on Sheffield United as Monday night’s pivotal Championship clash can’t come soon enough.

But the Sunderland result will still be in the back of the Leeds boss’ mind as Farke’s substitutes were genius in Leeds’ win.

They left it late though as Isidor scored 32 minutes in after bullying Ethan Ampadu off the ball, and the 49ers might have liked what they saw.

Leeds have shortlisted Sunderland star Isidor in what could be a sensational move for the Frenchman, but the Mackems’ main man at the moment has already given his view.

Wilson Isidor has already given his stance on joining Leeds United

It seems unlikely that Isidor would join a promotion rival, but Leeds’ win will have given the Whites a big boost in the promotion race, whereas Isidor’s Sunderland have taken a step back.

However, whether this changes Isidor’s future with the Black Cats is another question, as the 24-year-old whose on loan, does have an option to buy in his contract.

Speaking after scoring against Derby County in a 2-0 win for Sunderland, Isidor made his feelings clear during a post-match interview in October.

“I am on loan but with an optional buy. But no, for me, I want to continue with Sunderland and write the club into my career and my history,” Isidor said.

Leeds already have player profiles like Sunderland’s Isidor

Despite Isidor making Leeds a much stronger team with his signing, he’s not that detrimental to Farke’s plans.

Farke wanted a striker in January but someone of the Frenchman’s profile might not be what he’s after.

Leeds already have the likes of Wilfried Gnonto and Largie Ramazani who are both nippy attackers who cause a nuisance for defenders, which is exactly what Isidor does for Sunderland.

If Leeds were to get promoted, you’d think they could higher their standards and look above someone like Isidor.
