Leeds United transfer target Troy Parrott has spoken out about his future after playing a supporting role in AZ Alkmaar’s latest Conference League victory.
Troy Parrott has finally ended his golden run of goal-scoring form, as he failed to find the net for the fourth game in a row.
However, the Leeds United-linked forward produced a strong performance for Alkmaar as they claimed a 2-0 victory against Shelbourne, amid reports suggesting he could move to the Premier League.
Having starred for the Republic of Ireland in the international break, Leeds learned how much it would cost to tempt AZ Alkmaar to sell their prized asset.
Now, Parrott has spoken out about his future, as he continues to be linked with a return to England in January.
Who do you want Leeds to sign in January? A striker surely has to be the priority!
Troy Parrott on his future amid Leeds United interest
Leeds have sent scouts to watch Parrott in recent weeks, and he produced a solid performance in the Conference League, without finding the net.
Speaking after the game, via the Premier Sport TikTok account, Parrott insisted that he welcomes interest from transfer suitors, as it means that he is doing his job well for his team.
Parrott said: “Look, if there’s interest there, I must be doing something right. As I said before, I’m really settled here, I’m really happy here.
“I’m really enjoying my football, so in my mind, nothing has changed. I’m focused on being here.
“The future is the future, I just have to keep taking every game as it comes.”

How does Troy Parrott compare to Dominic Calvert-Lewin this season?
Although Parrott is playing at a lower standard than the Premier League, it is impossible to ignore his prolific form in the Eredivisie in the 2025/26 season.
His record also compares well against Dominic Calvert-Lewin in the current season, with Parrott significantly outperforming his expected goals tally for the season in the league.
Did Tony Yeboah score Leeds’ greatest-ever Premier League goal?
After eight games in the Dutch league this season, Parrott has scored seven goals, from an xG total of 6.3. He has also missed just five big chances during that time, highlighting his deadly finishing this season.
By comparison, Calvert-Lewin has just one goal from his xG total of 2.17, and has missed six big chances in his 10 Premier League appearances.
Although it remains to be seen whether Parrott can make the step up to the top flight, his record this season shows he is efficient in front of goal when the chances come.
