With less than 48 hours left to go in the transfer window, Leeds United are remaining active in the transfer market as they look to bring some more attacking players to Elland Road.
Monday’s 7pm deadline is now in full view, with Daniel Farke publicly stating he would like one or two additions in the final third before the window closes. That is despite three attacking additions already.
Leeds have brought in Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Lukas Nmecha and Noah Okafor while Jack Harrison has returned to the fold after two years on loan at Everton. But Farke wants more to bolster his attack.
Throughout the summer, Leeds have been linked with a plethora of different strikers. From Rodrigo Muniz to Beto, from Artem Dovbyk to Troy Parrott. Another who has been touted with Leeds is Mehdi Taremi.

Fabrizio Romano confirms bargain move for Mehdi Taremi
After just one season at Champions League finalists Inter Milan, Iranian veteran Taremi is on the move. Towards the end of July, it was claimed Leeds had ‘made an appearance’ in the race for striker Taremi.
Then, at the start of August, reports said Leeds were ‘close’ to signing 33-year-old Taremi. But nothing materialised and the former Porto striker has now picked his next club, in the form of Olympiakos.

According to Fabrizio Romano on X, Taremi has agreed a move to the Greek giants and is travelling to Athens to sign on the dotted line. A move for the Inter Milan veteran is expected to cost a bargain £2m.
Romano posted on his well-followed X account: “Mehdi Taremi lands in Athens on Sunday to sign in at Olympiacos for €2.5m fee from Inter.”
Who could Leeds sign before the end of the transfer window?
Reports say that Daniel Farke prefers an attacker that can play in numerous positions. Judging by the players that have been linked, it feels like a winger that can play as a 10 or a second striker is targeted.
Bilal El Khannouss at Leicester City, Juventus’ Argentina international Nico Gonzalez and plenty more have been suggested. Even Sheffield United’s Gus Hamer, while Facundo Buonanotte is set to join Chelsea.
Leeds felt they had Buonanotte signed and arriving on loan from Brighton, but a move to Chelsea is now set to be completed. Who Leeds do move for remains to be seen, but Leeds are active and ready to go.
