The hunt for attacking options is approaching the last 30 hours of the window with Leeds United keen to make one or two signings before Monday’s deadline at 7pm.
Daniel Farke made it publicly clear after Saturday’s 0-0 draw with Newcastle that Leeds need additions in the final third. The German gaffer even suggested that he’d like two more attackers before the deadline.
That is despite the club already spending north of £100m, and bringing in three new attackers in Noah Okafor, Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Lukas Nmecha. The latter two both played during Saturday’s draw.
Leeds have one goal in three Premier League games, and it came via a penalty thanks to a controversial handball. Much more is needed in the final third but The Whites are about to miss out on one option.

Sporting Lisbon sign Fotis Ioannidis after Adam Pope update
Earlier this month, Adam Pope confirmed that Leeds were looking at Panthinaikos captain Fotis Ioannidis. He has been looking for a move after Panathinaikos were knocked out of Champions League qualifying.
Knocked out by none other than Joe Rothwell’s Rangers. But Leeds have not followed up their interest in Ioannidis and now, the versatile attacker is about to sign on the dotted line with a European giant.
Portuguese outlet A Bola say Ioannidis has touched down in Lisbon ahead of agreeing a £21.6m deal. A fee of £19m up front, and a further £2.6m in add-ons. Ioannidis even discussed his move to Sporting.

Leeds miss out on another with clock rapidly ticking down
Farke is keen to bring in an attacker that can play in numerous positions. Juventus’ Nico Gonzalez, Bilal El Khannouss at Leicester and plenty of others who can play out wide or up front are said to be considered.
Ioannidis is just that. Able to play out wide, up top or even as a secondary striker. He would have been Leeds’ most expensive purchase of the summer at £21.6m, but even then that is considered a bargain.
With the clock ticking, Leeds are going to have to show some force in the transfer market. Or, they turn to an old friend in Manor Solomon. Solomon is looking to leave Tottenham but stay in the Premier League.
