Leeds United are in the United States ahead of Sunday’s clash against Wrexham in Florida, but that has not stopped the Whites from working hard in the transfer window.

Leeds have already completed the signings of two players in Harry Wilson and Tarik Muharemovic, but there is more to be done. Especially considering Muharemovic is only a replacement for Pascal Struijk.

Can you think of a worse signing than Max Wober in the last five years?

Leeds have officially parted ways with the defender.

The Whites need to sort out the emerging problem position between the sticks. Karl Darlow and Illan Meslier have left on free transfers, and reports in Italy say Lucas Perri has agreed terms with Torino.

Leeds need not one, but two goalkeepers, with the likes of Zion Suzuki and James Trafford linked. Then there is the ongoing saga with Shea Charles and a potential blockbuster deal for Julian Brandt.

Shea Charles twist as Leeds continue pursuit of midfielder

On Wednesday, Graham Smyth reported that Leeds had ended their pursuit of the Northern Ireland star after a third bid proved unsuccessful. Southampton are believed to want as much as £30m for Charles.

But Leeds’ second bid of £23m plus add-ons didn’t suffice, and the chances are the third bid won’t have exceeded an initial £25m. Other Premier League clubs, including Fulham, are being linked with Charles.

However, a report from iNews says that Leeds remain locked in talks for Charles, and reports of the Whites walking away from a deal are ‘wide of the mark’. It feels like Leeds are overpaying for him.

Indeed, anything over £25m for the midfielder would be deemed excessive, and while Leeds may have to pay a tax given the other interest in Charles, Leeds fans are begging the club to move on to others.

Leeds step up push for Man City back-up James Trafford

The World Cup is over and it instantly saw Chelsea move for Morgan Rogers. Those in the England side – as well as Spanish, French and Argentine players – could now be on the move after competing.

Trafford is the same. He might not have played, but he is now enjoying a break and Leeds have got to take advantage before another Premier League club swoops. Alex Crook says Leeds are doing just that.

Alongside an offer for Brandt, Crook says: “James Trafford to #LUFC is getting very 🔥Leeds have also made an offer to free agent Julian Brandt who visited their training ground with his dad in recent days.”

It is unclear how much Trafford would cost, but the iNews report says Man City are willing to consider offers for Trafford. Leeds see the former Burnley man as the ideal addition between the sticks.
