Leeds United transfer rumours latest, including updates on Facundo Buonanotte, Bilal El Khannouss, and Isaac Schmidt.
The transfer window has less than a week remaining for the 49ers and Leeds United, who are running out of time as they look for players in the market and as more transfer news emerges to add to their 10 summer signings.
A busy end to the summer still lies ahead at Leeds as Daniel Farke looks to improve several areas of the side, with the Leeds squad getting closer to completion but also needing to be trimmed via exits as well.
Lukas Nmecha, Jaka Bijol, Sebastiaan Bornauw, Gabriel Gudmundsson, Sean Longstaff, Anton Stach, Lucas Perri, Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Noah Okafor, and James Justin have all bolstered Leeds’ ranks in recent months, meaning they have made plenty of progress but more are still to follow.
In the meantime, with vital days ahead for the recruitment team and with Farke’s team recovering from the 5-0 defeat to Arsenal and cup exit on Tuesday, here we have taken a look at some of the latest transfer news and the biggest headlines coming out of the club.

Leeds United’s Isaac Schmidt set for permanent exit
The signing of James Justin was always expected to allow Isaac Schmidt to leave Leeds this summer, with the versatile full-back, wing-back, or winger out of favour under Farke. It should also be remembered that it’s also a World Cup year.
Schmidt’s move to Max Wober’s Werder Bremen was close to being done. But over the weekend, Schmidt was left in limbo as Werder closed in on Yukinari Sugawara of Southampton on loan.
However, Justin signing made Schmidt’s exit likely again. Now, the latest is that Schmidt is set for a £3 million move to Bremen before the deadline. He is one of a number of players who should leave in the coming days.

Facundo Buonanotte loan interest from Leeds
It’s been made clear that Farke wants a versatile creative player who can operate as a winger or who can play No.10. Despite his inexperience, that type of profile fits that of Brighton’s Facundo Buonanotte for Leeds.
He has been mentioned by various sources lately. Leeds United News exclusively revealed Brighton’s stance on Buonanotte and that Leeds have ‘never left the table’ this summer, with interest in his services throughout.
Buonanotte is not in Brighton’s plans after his return from Leicester. Another report claimed Brighton prefer a loan to England. That stance has since been doubled down on in some more recent reports amid Lyon interest in Leeds target Buonanotte.
West Ham United and Leeds lead the Buonanotte race and a loan bid is being considered by the Whites ahead of the transfer deadline.

Bilal El Khannouss twist emerges and offers Leeds hope
Buonanotte is not the only player considered, though, as Leeds’ Bilal El Khannouss interest has been most significant of any of the reported teams in the mix. Leicester are also likely to sell El Khannous in this window after their relegation.
Crystal Palace have been seriously keen on El Khannouss and see him as a potential Eberechi Eze replacement, with David Ornstein confirming Palace’s El Khannouss attempts had ramped up a week ago.
Then, another twist, as El Khannouss’ move to Selhurst Park stalled. Now, Palace have pulled out of the race for Leicester’s playmaker altogether. Instead, the Foxes are demanding a fee closer to £35 million for the attacking midfielder.
