Leeds United transfer rumours latest, including updates on Sean Longstaff, Mario Stroeykens, and Atletico Madrid’s Reinildo Mandava.
The transfer window officially opened and closed temporarily but things are heating up regarding transfer news and rumours with every passing day of the window for Leeds United.
A busy summer is expected at Leeds as Daniel Farke is aiming to improve several areas of the side that finished on 100 points, with the Leeds squad far from ready ahead of the club’s return to the Premier League.
In the meantime, with a huge few months ahead for Farke and the Leeds hierarchy, here we have taken a look at some of the latest transfer news and the biggest headlines coming out of the club.

Sean Longstaff rationale explained amid interest from Leeds
Leeds have been eyeing Sean Longstaff for some time now. Longstaff was first linked to Leeds back in March 2024 and Leeds could take Longstaff due to his availability.
It has been reported previously that Leeds want to do a £10 million deal for Longstaff as they look to add a midfielder into their engine room to compete with Ao Tanaka and Ethan Ampadu.
In recent updates, a rationale for Leeds signing Longstaff has emerged. Leeds value Premier League experience and peak-age players, but particular attributes in Longstaff’s skill-set are also admired.

Leeds United eye Reinildo of Atletico Madrid
On Wednesday, it was claimed Leeds had made an approach to sign Reinildo Mandava of Atletico Madrid, with the 31-year-old available this summer.
Having joined in 2022 from Lille, Reinildo can now leave for Atleti for free this summer. Primarily a left-back, he can also operate as a central defender as well.
Signing for Leeds would make Reinildo the first Mozambique player in the Premier League, but that’s only if they beat the likes of Man United and Nottingham Forest to his signature this summer.

Mario Stroeykens price-tag revealed to Leeds
Leeds are also staging talks for Anderlecht midfield gem Mario Stroeykens with a view to a deal this summer. The 20-year-old is in the final year of his contract and has emerged as a target.
With Stroeykens rejecting a new contract at Anderlecht, and Stroeykens’ excellent output compared to Brenden Aaronson last season.
A fee has since been revealed to secure his signature for a knock down price because of his contractual situation with the Belgian giants. It will cost Leeds just £12 million to sign Stroeykens this summer.
