A player linked with Leeds United ahead of the January transfer window has been tipped to potentially leave the club in a permanent deal in the winter window.
Leeds United have a few names on their transfer radar right now, mostly attacking players with Daniel Farke seemingly keen on bolstering his frontline in the New Year.
Farke says Leeds United could be quiet in January. But there’s names like Manchester City’s James McAtee being linked with Leeds United ahead of January.
The young attacker is out of favour at the Etihad and there’s growing speculation that he could be moved on during the January window, which opens in little over a week’s time now.
Elsewhere, Aston Villa’s Louie Barry is also linked with Leeds. The former Barcelona gem has just been recalled from Stockport County where he lead the League One standings for goals, having scored 14 this season.
Barry, 21, is the subject of widespread transfer interest ahead of January, with Middlesbrough thought to be leading the race for his signature as things stand.

Carlton Palmer backs Leeds United target Louie Barry for January move
Speaking to Football League World, pundit and former England midfielder Carlton Palmer has discussed Barry’s situation at Villa Park.
And Palmer thinks that Barry may even be the subject of a permanent move away from Villa during the New Year.
It was previously reported that clubs would have to pay £12.5million to prise Barry from Aston Villa on a permanent basis.
Palmer said: “It’s very disappointing for Stockport County at this moment in time, but he’s Aston Villa’s player, they want to develop him and maybe there’s a deal on the table to sign him in the January transfer window if they don’t see him as part of their future first-team.
“Maybe he’ll get sold in the January transfer window. It’s unclear yet, and we’ll soon find out whether he’ll be loaned out, integrated into the first team or sold.”

Leeds United could lose Louie Barry race to promotion rival
Barry has seemingly gotten half the Championship on alert. Now having been recalled by Villa, it looks like a January move is on the offing.
But Leeds United could yet lose the race to Sheffield United who are also keen on Barry, and if the Blades win this one then it could put a huge dent in Leeds’ promotion hopes.
Barry may certainly relish the chance of joining one of Leeds United or Sheffield United and should one or the other win the race, it could give them that added edge in the second half of the campaign.
Whether Leeds have £12.5million to spend in January, though, and whether they’d consider Barry on a permanent deal given his lack of Championship experience, remains to be seen.
