Despite Leeds United’s season being far from over, the club’s first summer transfer has now been confirmed.

Leeds United return to action away at Oxford United on Friday in another huge game for Daniel Farke’s side, as they vie to break out of the Championship at the second time of trying.

Last time out Leeds United beat Preston North End 2-1 to secure back-to-back wins after a run of three-straight draws, the last of which seeing the Whites drop all the way down into 3rd place of the table.

But then a 1-0 win at Middlesbrough lifted Leeds United all the way back into 1st, whilst Sheffield United dropped down into 3rd after the last round of fixtures.

Chris Wilder was fuming after Sheffield United’s defeat at Plymouth Argyle, even getting into an altercation with Leeds loan man Darko Gyabi on the pitch.

Now it’s all down to Leeds and whether they can hold their nerve after a nervy few weeks. But promotion is well within their grasp now and with it would come a busy and potentially expensive summer transfer window.

Leeds United’s Rasmus Kristensen seals £7.7million Eintracht Frankfurt move

Ramus Kristensen has become something of a forgotten man at Elland Road having spent the last two seasons out on loan. First at Roma and this time round with Eintracht Frankfurt in the Bundesliga where he’s so far featured 26 times in the league, scoring twice.

Earlier in the year it was reported that Kristensen wanted to leave Leeds United permanently following his £10million move from RB Salzburg in 2022. And now he’s finally gotten his wish with journalist Beren Cross revealing the news on X earlier on Wednesday.

Cross revealed that Leeds and Frankfurt have ‘have agreed a deal’ and that a deal worth £7.7million ‘will go through when the summer window opens’ in June.

Who else will be leaving Leeds United along with Rasmus Kristensen?

Don’t expect Kristensen to be the only player departure at Leeds United this summer. In fact one other departure seems nailed on and that’s Junior Firpo.

Firpo looks set to leave Leeds United when his contract expires at the end of this season and he’ll have no shortage of interest when he inevitably becomes a free agent.

Elsewhere, Sam Byram is also out of contract and looking set to leave, whilst the likes of Illan Meslier could move on after a difficult season, possibly along with the likes of Max Wober and Wilfried Gnonto.

But Kristensen is the first confirmed departure and the first confirmed Leeds United transfer of what promises to be a hectic summer.
