Leeds United’s transfer deadline day is close to ending, with the transfer window slamming shut at 7pm unless deals were already in place prior to that time.
There were a number of things to be done, with duo Illan Meslier and Darko Gyabi potentially departing, and another attacking addition or two also needed at the other end via incomings.
Leeds United have signed 10 players but the squad is arguably not quite at the level required to feel comfortable about their chances of Premier League survival.
That is why news of an outgoing isn’t what fans are as keen to hear about, given the feeling surrounding the hand Daniel Farke has been granted in terms of his attacking options.

Darko Gyabi details emerge on Hull City switch
Gyabi returned to Leeds this summer from Plymouth Argyle. lllan Meslier and Gyabi are the last Leeds players to find a new home for, with the pair not in Farke’s first-team plans
Championship fans want Leeds’ 6’5″ midfielder Gyabi, after impressing despite Plymouth’s relegation in 2024/25 during his 18-month loan spell. However, French and Championship interest in Gyabi emerged towards the end of the window.
Hull City, Wrexham, and Watford all want Gyabi. It then emerged that Gelhardt’s loan side led the race, with Hull eyeing Gyabi on a loan deal. That was only if they could free up room in their squad to sign him.
A loan for Gyabi from Leeds looked likely until Graham Smyth confirmed a permanent deal for Hull and Gyabi was then on the cards instead.
The deal has now gone through past the deadline. Kyle Newbould of The Yorkshire Evening Post has revealed that the structure of the deal is unclear, given Tigers are prevented from fee-paying transfers due to an embargo.

Will Leeds sign Harry Wilson or someone else?
Harry Wilson’s deal had life mere hours ago, but the deal faced ‘difficulty’ between Fulham and Leeds in the most recent update.
Beren Cross has since provided the latest, stating: “No word as yet from Leeds on dealsheets etc for incoming business.”
Leeds will hope they bring the creative winger or No.10 in, given his set-piece delivery could prove to be a huge differential.
