The rumour mill is in full flow following Leeds United’s promotion to the Premier League, with plenty of new names being linked and even Daniel Farke’s future being questioned.

The 49ers are considering whether to keep Farke in the Leeds dugout despite The German getting Leeds back to the Premier League and possibly, winning the Championship title if Leeds win their last two.

Plenty of new players have been linked with a move to Elland Road. Just this week, West Ham duo Tomas Soucek and Danny Ings have been linked with Leeds as has Everton striker Dom Calvert-Lewin on a free.

The names continue to circle with Leeds expected to spent north of £100m during the summer window. Another name now being touted with Leeds is a teen attacker currently playing in France’s second tier.

Leeds battle Celtic, Leicester and Brentford for Moussa Soumano

A report from Africa Foot says Leeds are among the clubs interested in signing Ajaccio’s teenage attacker Moussa Soumano. The young ace has caught the eye after having a hand in six goals this term, at just 19.

The report says Leeds are not alone though, with Italian giants Atalanta also supposedly taking a look at Soumano. Brendan Rodgers is keen to take him to Celtic but Rodgers’ old side Leicester also want him.

However, Thomas Frank’s Brentford are on pole having already tabled a £2.5m bid to land the winger in the summer. It is unclear what Soumano’s preference will be with English, Scottish and Italian clubs keen.

Moussa Soumano’s career so far after breakthrough season

Coming into the 2024-25 season, Soumano had played 39 times at senior level for Ajaccio but only managed one goal. However this season, he has managed to score four times and lay on two assists.

Such is his exciting form for someone so young, Mali are considering a move to tempt the France-born attacker to represent them at a National Team level. The youngster is renowned for his excellent speed.

That, and his versatility. Soumano is naturally a centre-forward but is more than capable of playing from the left and cutting inside on his right foot. Interest is growing, with Soumano’s contract ending in 2026.
