Jack Harrison’s second loan spell at Everton is not going to plan and given his form for The Toffees, the chances are he will be returning to Leeds United in the summer.
Harrison’s first loan at Everton went successfully, having a hand in seven goals under Sean Dyche. But the Toffees chose to sack Dyche with Harrison one of a number of Everton players struggling to perform.
Indeed, Harrison has now gone more than a year without scoring a goal – his last effort coming back in February 2024 against Tottenham. He’s played 27 times this term without scoring or even creating a goal.
There is no permanent clause in Harrison’s loan. He was one of two Leeds players to see Victor Orta’s loan clause reactivated for a second season given the failure to get promoted, but where does his future lie?

Graeme Bailey says Jack Harrison could now return to Leeds
An £11m signing, Harrison spent the first three years on loan at Leeds before signing permanently. He joined in Marcelo Bielsa’s first season, and got better every year that went past before his eventual exit.
With four of Orta’s eight-strong loan army sold permanently, and Rasmus Kristensen set to make that five, Harrison was expected to go. But Graeme Bailey has told LeedsUnited.News, Harrison could return.
“Leeds at this moment believe he is more likely to return than not, he has not done badly but with change of manager and hierarchy, it seems they will go in another direction,” Bailey told LeedsUnited.News.
“Leeds are prepared for this and there will be no issues with seeing Harrison return in the Premier League – he is a Premier League player and his experience could be invaluable to Leeds next season,” he added.

Does Jack Harrison have any interest from other clubs?
The former Man City star signed a new contract at Leeds after Harrison’s move to Leicester collapsed in January 2023. It means the winger has a deal at Elland Road until the summer of 2028, three years left.
So with Everton unlikely to sign him, Leeds have a decision to make and judging by Bailey’s comments, it could be that he returns to Elland Road like Brenden Aaronson and Max Wober did at the start of 24-25.
Harrison was the subject of interest from Fulham in January but there are unlikely to be many suitors for a player struggling to find his best form, but is on Premier League money. Leeds may be his best bet.
