Jack Harrison is one of seven players currently out on loan at Leeds United this season, but the Everton star may find himself in a different shirt altogether by the time the transfer window closes.

The 28-year-old has really struggled at Everton this season. Having had a solid campaign last term under Sean Dyche, Harrison rejoined Everton on a second loan in the summer but has failed to score or assist.

Indeed, Harrison’s last goal came in February 2024 against Tottenham. The winger has burnt his bridges with Leeds after being one of the eight players to use Victor Orta’s loan clause, not only once but twice.

The chances are Harrison will leave Leeds permanently in the summer whatever division The Whites find themselves in. But it appears Harrison could be on the move a lot sooner than that, and swap teams.

Fulham want Everton loanee Jack Harrison before deadline

It had been claimed that Harrison could return to Leeds with Everton considering a move to cancel his loan in order to free up a domestic slot. Leeds have no recall clause in their loan deal with Everton.

But, Harrison may request it is cancelled and it is up to Everton to make a decision. Now, they may have a decision to make with The Daily Mail reporting Fulham want to sign Harrison before Monday’s deadline.

There are many moving parts to a potential deal that takes Harrison to West London. Leeds, Everton and Fulham all have to agree a plan and then Harrison has to agree to it, but there is still 30 hours to go.

Have we now seen the best of Jack Harrison?

Like so many players, Harrison sparkled under the guidance of Marcelo Bielsa. The Argentine manager turned him from Manchester City rookie, struggling at Middlesbrough on loan, to a top-tier winger.

Thanks to Bielsa’s stewardship, Harrison was part of Gareth Southgate’s 55-man preliminary squad for England’s 2022 World Cup. Since Bielsa’s exit, Harrison has struggled to find his best form again.

Inconsistent in Leeds’ relegation year, solid without shining at Everton and now, lacking in confidence and form. Like Kalvin Phillips, Patrick Bamford and others, Harrison’s best years came under Bielsa’s guidance.
