There have been some suggestions that Jack Harrison could return to Leeds United before Monday’s deadline as he struggles on loan at Goodison Park, with David Moyes now manager.

Jack Harrison returned to Everton for a second season on loan from Leeds last summer, after impressing last term on Merseyside. But since, he’s failed to register a single goal or assist during the 24-25 season.

Harrison has failed to score a goal since February 2024. Everton fans have grown fed up with Harrison after a number of missed chances against the likes of Chelsea and Man City before Sean Dyche’s sacking.

With Moyes attempting to bring in some new signings, Premier League clubs are allowed two domestic loans at any time. Everton currently have two, in the form of Harrison and Armando Broja from Chelsea.

Reports emerged this week that actually, Harrison could return to Leeds with Everton possibly looking to cancel the loan. Leeds do not have a recall clause for Harrison, but Everton are capable of terminating it.

However, The Mirror now say Everton have made a decision regarding Harrison’s loan. They are set to keep the winger until the end of the season despite earlier reports, and Harrison will not return to Leeds.

What David Moyes has said about Jack Harrison at Everton

Moyes has made an excellent start to life back at Everton after he returned to The Toffees after sacking Dyche. Losing the opener against Aston Villa, he has secured back-to-back wins over Spurs and Brighton.

Speaking last week, Moyes says he plans to improve Harrison’s confidence: “[Harrison has] probably lost some confidence, a lack of belief. So we need to bring that back. That might take a little bit longer.”

Harrison is a top player, proven at Premier League level. Harrison was part of the 55-man preliminary squad for England at the 2022 World Cup, but he is far from his best at the moment over at Everton.
