Everton fans have got a lot to say about Leeds United loanee Jack Harrison after his Chelsea display

Leeds United winger Jack Harrison was handed another start on Sunday as Sean Dyche’s Everton side took on Chelsea at Goodison Park, just days after The Toffees were taken over.

Harrison is back at Everton this season after his relegation loan clause was active again in the summer. Only two of the initial eight clauses remained active, the other being Rasmus Kristensen at Frankfurt.

The 28-year-old winger had fallen out of the Everton side in recent weeks but returned to the line-up in the recent 0-0 draw with Arsenal at The Emirates and then on Sunday, he was handed another start.

His goal drought remains, though. Harrison last scored for Everton in February against Tottenham and that is where the frustration lay from Everton supporters, despite a fifth clean sheet in six matches.

Everton fans are fed up with Leeds winger Jack Harrison

Everton actually played incredibly well against Enzo Maresca’s in-form Chelsea. The Toffees nullified the likes of Cole Palmer and Pedro Neto, and while they rode their luck in the first half, they may have won it.

That is, if Harrison provided the winning touch. Everton’s best chance fell to Harrison but from a matter of yards, the Leeds wide man could not beat Robert Sanchez despite being afforded the space of the area.

Everton fans responded to Harrison’s performance on social media, and many want his loan cancelled.

One Everton fan said that 28-year-old Harrison, who is contracted at Leeds until the summer of 2027, was the “only negative” of the 0-0 draw for Everton and should be sent “back to Leeds” in January.

Another was angry in his verdict and said: “make Jack Harrison walk back to Leeds”, despite saying that Everton were “threatening” while praising the back four.

Clearly, Harrison is beginning to really frustrate Everton fans with another saying “get Jack Harrison on the first bus back to Leeds”. Another took to X to say he “hopes the wind blows Harrison back to Leeds.”

That is despite the Englishman showing a couple of moments of class just before he came off on 73 minutes, when he went on a mazy run and set up a chance before a gorgeous cross-field pass.

What Graeme Bailey said about Jack Harrison’s future at Leeds

With Everton since being taken over by the Friedkin Group in a deal worth a massive £400m, we asked Graeme Bailey if Everton’s new takeover will affect a permanent move for Harrison to the Merseyside club.

Given he is starting games at the moment you might imagine he is kept by The Toffees. But Bailey told LeedsUnited.News that he thinks Everton will have “bigger fish to fry” than Harrison come next summer.

However, the chances of the former Manchester City and New York City man returning to Leeds is small. Leeds fans are not impressed by the winger’s actions to leave on loan twice after the club went down.
