Leeds United eyeing move for £4m Scottish sensation also on radar of Celtic and Red Bull

Leeds United’s links with Red Bull are certainly made all the more interesting by the recent changes to the recruitment department at Elland Road.

Both Gretar Steinsson and Jordan Miles have departed Leeds in the last few weeks, having both played key roles in a summer which saw the Whites bring in eight new signings.

Despite their exits, Leeds have actually decided against looking externally to replace them, with both Alex Davies and Adam Underwood having been promoted to more prominent roles.

As such, it has prompted the question among some supporters as to whether Leeds will lean on Red Bull when it comes to scouting and player recruitment, following their investment back in June.

Strengthening those claims are the fact FC Nordsjælland Daniel Svensson has been linked with Leeds, someone who has been on the radar of Red Bull for some time.

Leeds keeping tabs on Motherwell star Lennon Miller

Daniel Farke has confirmed Leeds will be in for a quiet January transfer window but work on scouting and identifying targets never stops.

And one player, most likely for the future, to have emerged on Leeds’ radar in recent months is Motherwell youngster Lennon Miller.

Transfer expert Graeme Bailey has exclusively told LeedsUnited.News that Leeds have ‘watched him closely’ this season, but is also wanted by Celtic, Rangers, Red Bull Leipzig and Salzburg.

Both Old Firm sides have been linked with potential £4 million swoops, and so Bailey says Leeds face an uphill fight prising him to Elland Road.

He said: “Leeds have a rich history with Scottish football and it is not shock to see them interested in Lennon Miller, who some north of the border regard as a generational talent.

“Celtic and Rangers are keen, as well as some of the Premier League’s elite talent, but I am told Leeds have also watched him closely, as have sister outfits RB Leipzig and Salzburg.

“Miller basically has his pick of clubs, Leeds hope to be in the mix but given the interest in him it will be tough to land him.”

Who is Leeds target Lennon Miller?

Miller is just 18-years-old but is already a regular at Motherwell, where he is enjoying a superb season.

Primarily a number eight, Miller has already played 56 times for the Scottish Premiership side, though it is the 23/24 campaign where he has taken his game to the next level.

He has started all 12 of their league matches so far and has registered an impressive two goals and four assists from midfield, which is what makes him an attractive prospect for interested clubs.

Miller has even worn the captain’s armband in Motherwell’s last two games, and it may not be too long before he receives his first Scotland call-up.
