Daniel Farke confirmed publicly in his latest press conference he now wants Leeds United to sign two new attackers.
Leeds had been in the market for another winger to replace Crysencio Summerville but after agreeing to sell Georginio Rutter to Brighton for £40 million, the job of the recruitment team has got a whole lot harder.
Rutter‘s departure is set to make Leeds the club who have generated the most amount of money in player sales across the whole of Europe this summer.
And while clearly Leeds will have cash to spend, it is going to be an almost impossible task to replace them both, having got 50 goal contributions between them last season.
In order to soften the blow, Leeds are going to have to make some real marquee signings, or the 49ers could be in for a really bumpy ride in the coming months.

Ben Jacobs says Leeds could now bid for Jonathan Rowe
49ers have kept cards close to their chest when it comes to new signings during their time in charge, though that is becoming harder to believe the longer it takes to get deals over the line.
However, one potential target who has become public in the last couple of weeks is Norwich City’s Jonathan Rowe.
Leeds launched a £7 million enquiry for Rowe almost two weeks ago now but with that significantly below Norwich’s valuation, progress has been limited.
However, with another £40 million set to come in through the sale of Rutter, journalist Ben Jacobs has told Give Me Sport that could tempt them into making an official offer for Rowe.
He said: “Leeds United would still like Jonathan Rowe. He’s a priority name. We know it’s Marseille that have been the club bidding, but Leeds could enter that race because Marseille haven’t agreed a deal.
“Norwich want in excess of £10million and maybe with add-ons now even closer to £15million, and it might be that a [Georginio] Rutter departure allows Leeds to make a competitive bid, so that could be one to watch.
“Rowe prefers Marseille, again with European football and playing in a big-five league rather than going from Norwich to a Championship club – but Marseille haven’t agreed a deal, so Leeds might be able to do something there.”
What is the state of play regarding Rowe?
News of Leeds’ interest in the ‘unstoppable‘ Rowe was first to reach the media, but it is actually Marseille who have been pushing the hardest this week.
After seeing an opening offer turned down by the Canaries last Friday, Marseille have since returned with a second bid, believed to be in the structure of a loan with a future obligation.
Again, Norwich do not see that as acceptable but talks are continuing between the two sides, with Rowe keen on a move to France.
If Leeds are going to make their move, they are going to have to do it quickly, because at the moment, there is only one club he looks like joining.
