Following the deal to sign Anton Stach from Hoffenheim, it looks like Leeds United will finally place much of their attention on signing a new starting goalkeeper this summer.
Leeds United have now signed six new players this summer, including two defenders, a full-back, two midfielders, and a striker. It really leaves just the goalkeeper position for Daniel Farke to bolster this summer, and it’s certainly a position that he desperately needs to fill with some quality.
Illan Meslier still looks set to leave Leeds United this summer following his disastrous 2024/25 season in the Championship, but who replaces the Frenchman remains to be seen.
Already this summer there have been a number of goalkeepers linked with the move to Leeds United, but none seem all that close to joining.
Though the last couple of weeks or so have seen Leeds United’s goalkeeper search whittled down to a handful of names, one such name is Dominik Livakovic at Fenerbahce.

The latest on Dominik Livakovic to Leeds United
Livakovic looks set to leave Fenerbahce this summer. The Croatian goalkeeper has fallen out of favour under manager Jose Mourinho and it is thought that a move to Elland Road could well come to fruition for the 30-year-old, with previous reports that Leeds have made a £6million bid to sign Livakovic.
Reports coming out of Turkey are once again backing Livakovic to leave Fenerbahce this summer. Turkish outlet Aspor report that the shot-stopper has now been offered to all of AS Monaco, Sevilla, and AC Milan, but the three European giants have all turned around and rejected a move for the goalkeeper.
That could well speak volumes about the goalkeeper, or it could suggest that all three teams already have competent number ones. Either way, Livakovic looks set to leave and he remains available for a move to Leeds United.

The latest on Leeds United’s goalkeeper search this summer
There have been a horde of goalkeepers mentioned alongside a move to Elland Road, but only a few seem like really active targets right now. Livakovic arguably falls into that category, given the strength of his links in the last few weeks and the fact that he now seems poised to leave Fenerbahce this summer.
Other names to keep an eye on are the likes of Sonne Lammens and Lucas Perri. Leeds United’s links to Lammens have increased in the last week or so.
The Royal Antwerp goalkeeper impressed last season and looks set to seal a big European move this summer, though it’s understood that Manchester United are leading the race to sign Lammens as things stand.
Meanwhile, Perri is understood to be Leeds United’s top goalkeeper target this summer. The Lyon shot-stopper, though, has recently picked up an injury and so that has seemingly halted any move to England for the time being.
That, in turn, could force Leeds United to turn to the likes of Livakovic, with the new season starting in less than a month now.
