Leeds United are, perhaps unsurprisingly, being linked with a move to sign Ryan Kent again and Jose Mourinho has made a decision on the winger amid supposed interest from Elland Road.
Kent, 27, has been linked regularly with Leeds over the past few years ever since The Whites bid £10m to sign the wide man in the summer of 2020. Steven Gerrard, then Rangers manager, confirmed the offer.
The former Liverpool star spent another three seasons at Rangers following the Leeds offer, before exiting on a free transfer to join Turkish side Fenerbahce. But his first season at the SuperLig side did not work.
He was largely ousted from the side, featuring in just one league game as a sub in Fenerbahce’s last 25 SuperLig outings. New Fener manager Mourinho gave him a chance this term, in a European qualifier.

Jose Mourinho makes Ryan Kent decision amid Leeds United bid
Fenerbahce surpassed Lugano in the second round of Champions League qualifying last month, with Kent starting Mourinho’s first game in charge. But clearly, he wasn’t that impressed, dropping him a week later.
The English winger remained an unused sub in the second leg and Leeds have now tabled a bid of £2.5m to land Kent. It is unclear what Fener want for Kent, but what is clear is that they are ready to sell Kent.
Turkish Football say that Mourinho has given the ‘green light’ to offload Kent as Mourinho looks to redo his squad. He ‘does not have plans’ for Kent and is happy to sell him should clubs make an offer for him.

Leeds need wingers but is Kent the answer this summer?
At his best, left-winger Kent is a wonderful player and in Scotland, he was constantly providing assists for Rangers. But he needs a club where he is going to start week in, week out if he is to return to his best.
With Crysencio Summerville leaving and the club already losing Ian Poveda and Jaidon Anthony, Leeds need a winger or two. Leeds fans are desperate for the club to re-sign Jack Clarke from Sunderland.
Morgan Whittaker is available just £10m and he could be a smart signing. But if Leeds are to spend big on a replacement for Summerville, bringing in a bargain like Kent to provide depth might be a smart signing.
