Full-back doesn’t want to play for Leeds again, now out on loan

Cody Drameh has made a decision on his Leeds United future.

That is according to The Athletic, which has claimed what the 21-year-old full-back wants to do at the end of the season when his loan spell with Birmingham City runs out.

Well, according to The Athletic, Cody Drameh does not plan to play for Leeds United after his loan spell at Birmingham City ends.

Drameh joined Birmingham on loan from Leeds in the summer of 2023.

The 21-year-old full-back is out of contract at Leeds at the end of the season. Birmingham have the option to sign Drameh on a permanent contract next summer.

According to The Athletic, Leeds want to get a compensation fee for the youngster, so they will offer him “an extension on his existing terms”.

The report has added that “the right-back has no intention of actually taking up a fresh deal at Elland Road having struggled for game time”.

Leeds United will not miss Cody Drameh if he leaves for good

I do not think that Leeds United will miss Cody Drameh at all if he leaves the Whites for good at the end of the season.

In my view, Drameh has not done much of note for Leeds so far. The 21-year-old full-back has been out on loan at Cardiff City and Luton Town in previous years and is now on loan at Birmingham City.

If Leeds head coach Daniel Farke decided to let the full-back leave in the summer of 2023, then it shows that he does not think that he would be able to help his team win promotion to the Premier League.

Drameh has made 12 appearances in the Championship for Birmingham this season. The full-back has given two assists in those games. The 21-year-old has played at left-back and at right-back this season and has done well.
