Reports from the German media suggest Eintracht Frankfurt have already decided to sign Rasmus Kristensen from Leeds United permanently.
Kristensen joined the Bundesliga side on a season-long-loan in the summer with the two clubs also managing to come to an agreement on a future purchase option.
The 27-year-old has impressed since making the move, playing all but five of every minute across all competitions for Frankfurt.
His stand-out display came in a 3-3 Europa League draw with Viktoria Plzen, in which Kristensen both scored and assisted, before being taken off late on when Frankfurt were actually 3-1 up.
Frankfurt director Timmo Hardung has already spoken highly of Kristensen publicly, despite claims they are already looking to lower the originally agreed buy clause.
Frankfurt director on Kristensen permanent deal reports
As mentioned, after such a fine start to life in Germany, reports have emerged this week that Frankfurt have already decided to sign Kristensen permanently.
It is said they would be willing to pay somewhere in the region of £10 million, which would be good business for Leeds, considering it is around what the Whites bought him from Red Bull Salzburg for.
In an interview with fussballnews, sporting director Hardung was asked to clarify the reports about Kristensen from a couple of days ago.
However, Hardung has actually come out and denied that Frankfurt have already made their decision, though certainly didn’t rule it out.
He said: “Rasmus has arrived very well with us. We are very happy that he is here with us. I also think he really enjoys being here.
“Of course, we are considering what role he could play at Eintracht Frankfurt in the future and whether he can become part of the team. But we haven’t decided anything yet.”

What Timmo Hardung has said about Kristensen’s performances
Though Hardung has put to bed reports Frankfurt will be imminently completing Kristensen’s permanent signing, it does not mean it won’t happen.
Hardung spoke extremely highly of Kristensen in an interview last month, which would suggest everyone from top to bottom, is happy with how he is performing.
He said: “The whole team has to work. But with Kristensen and Theate we have two players who can play as central defenders or full-backs at a high quality level. This makes it easier to change the formation.”
