Leeds United now have two new signings to their name in this crucial summer transfer window, and a quickfire third certainly cannot be ruled out.

Leeds United have confirmed the signing of Jaka Bijol on a permanent deal from Udinese, who joins Lukas Nmecha in becoming the first two names to arrive at Elland Road this summer.

For Daniel Farke, it’s his first two Leeds signings of the entire year, let alone the summer. But they definitely won’t be the last of this summer’s window with the Whites looking set to overhaul their team following promotion to the Premier League.

There remains plenty of players linked with a move to Leeds United. It seems like Farke and the 49ers are planning move raids on the continent with players in several different countries thought to be on Leeds’ radar.

In particular there’s a few players in Belgium catching Farke’s attention. Anderlecht’s Mario Stroeykens is a target and so too is Club Brugge midfielder Raphael Onyedika. Elsewhere, Union SG’s Noah Sadiki is rumoured to be a key target for the Whites.

Update on Noah Sadiki’s future amid rumoured Leeds United interest

Earlier in June, it was claimed that Leeds United have made an £8.5million bid to sign Sadiki, 20, going up against Ligue 1 giants Lyon in a bid to sign the Belgian defensive midfielder who made 39 Belgian pro League appearances last season, scoring once and assisting three more.

Soon after, the Sadiki to Leeds United claim was played down. But Leeds United fans are excited by the Sadiki rumours and they’ll be excited to know that Belgian media are backing the youngster to leave Union SG this summer, with the club looking set for a bit of a summer sale.

Belgian outlet FootNews write that ‘several departures expected’ at Union this summer, naming Sadiki as one of those who’s likely to move on. Elsewhere Walfoot write that ‘several key players are preparing to leave’ Union this summer, adding that Sadiki and two of his teammates ‘appear ready to pack their bags’.

The latest on Leeds United’s search for a new central midfielder

After signing a striker and a new centre-back, Farke appears to be focusing his attention on a new central midfielder; specifically a defensive midfielder with several like Sadiki having been quite heavily linked in the last couple of weeks.

Onyedika is tipped to leave Brugge amid links to Leeds United whilst former Aston Villa midfielder Douglas Luiz is being closely linked with a move to Elland Road, with the Brazilian international poised to leave Juventus after just one season.

Meanwhile, it’s been reported numerous times that Sean Longstaff is a prime target for Leeds United, as he appears to have been throughout the year.

For Farke then, a new midfielder looks set to arrive next and we could even see one signed in the next week or so. Sadiki and Onyedika in particular may be two games to keep an eye on.
