Leeds United have added some new names to their transfer radar ahead of Monday’s deadline day, including one complete unknown.
Leeds United remain without a signing in January as the transfer window nears its end. The winter window will close for business of Monday February 3rd at 11pm and Leeds are running the risk of going the whole window without a single signing.
But it’s not over yet for Daniel Farke’s side. Leeds have bid for Cameron Archer at Southampton and have other names in their crosshairs too.
And more and more names keep being linked with moves to Elland Road, one being Krasnodar and Armenia midfielder Eduard Spertsyan.
It’s claimed that Leeds and Sunderland are vying to sign Spertsyan, 24, who Farke worked with during his time in charge of Russian top flight side Krasnodar.

Eduard Spertsyan told to avoid Leeds United move
But almost as quickly as Leeds were linked with the attacking midfielder, one pundit has already come out to urge Spertsyan not to make the move to West Yorkshire during this January window.
Former Russian international and now pundit Dmitri Radchenko has spoken out on Leeds’ links to Spertsyan, and he’s urged the player to venture to Italy or Spain instead of the Championship. He told Russian outlet Championat: “Spertsyan has been showing good football for the second year and is the leader of Krasnodar.
“Therefore, he deserves more than a transfer to a team from the second division of England. If Eduard moves to Leeds, which is currently in 1st place, no one can guarantee him a place in the starting lineup, because they are doing well and have a starting lineup.
“And you need to understand that this is the Championship, and the Premier League is a completely different football. It will be very difficult for him there.
“I don’t know about Spertsyan’s move to Napoli and Atalanta, which are the leaders of the Italian championship. The Italian and Spanish championships will suit Eduard’s playing style, but I have big questions about England.”

Leeds United’s true deadline day target is revealed
Despite links to Spertsyan, and others like Kelechi Iheanacho who’s heading towards Middlesbrough anyway, it’s been claimed that the Whites have their sights set on one player right now, and that’s Archer.
Leeds are desperate to sign Archer and it’s been hinted that he’s their no.1 target right now, despite Farke having plenty of options on the flanks and in attack in general.
Southampton are reluctant to lose Archer but could be tempted into selling if they themselves can do some business in the final hours of the January transfer window.
