Coventry City fans weigh in on whether Jack Rudoni is ready for a move to Leeds United

Coventry City star Jack Rudoni has been linked with a move to Elland Road this summer.

Leeds United will be looking to improve their squad and could do so with a new target in Rudoni.

Fans would love the opportunity to poach a player from their nemesis in Frank Lampard, and the 23-year-old looks like a promising asset.

The attacking midfielder has flourished in the Championship this season, and Lampard seems to have transformed Rudoni.

Rudoni has been called a ‘dream’ for Coventry, and Leeds will want to secure his signature, but the Sky Blues fans were posed with a question.

For his second season in the Championship, 22 goal contributions isn’t bad going.

Rudoni proved that he was clear of League One level, and with Leeds now in mind, he might be ready for the big time in the Premier League.

Daniel Farke knows good talent when he sees it, and if Marcelo Bielsa wanted to sign Rudoni, you know there is a great player potentially on Leeds’ hands.

Well, the Coventry fanbase have weighed in on whether he’s ready for the jump to the Premier League after such a good season.

@NickJH83 said: “Needs one more season in the championship then yes. If he stays with us then come this time next year he could have ticked both boxes.”

@43optima made a point about Lampard’s management, saying: “Probably not yet but Frank will develop him.”

“Not yet. Another year developing first. He goes too soon he won’t play enough games,” @mbCCFC claimed.

@Razwarwick doesn’t think he is: “No, not quite. Still very raw and clearly come on leaps and bounds under Lamps. We’ll see how he does this year..”

@kilomike90 can see Leeds on the cards: “Without a doubt he walks into most bottom-half teams atm. Another year developing under Frank and either way he goes prem.”

@chrisrobin1980 said: “Not quite. But I think he will get there. Definitely needs another year in the champ.”

Leeds should take Rudoni risk in the Premier League

Judging by the reactions, it seems like the midfielder is on the brink of getting his Premier League place.

A bottom-half team could be perfect for Rudoni, not only to gain top-flight experience but also to help Leeds’ chances of staying up, and if he can replicate his Championship form, Farke’s side will be just fine.

Despite the Whites’ desire to sign the 23-year-old, Rudoni is settled at Coventry, and fans’ wishes for him having one more season under Lampard could come true.

But don’t see this as the end of the saga, as Farke having £150m at his disposal gives Leeds plenty of time to explore a deal.
