Leeds United and Burnley have been confirmed as promoted to the Premier League after both sides won on Easter Monday, with Leeds winning 6-0 and Burnley beating Sheffield United.
Two games remain in the Championship with Leeds and Burnley set to fight it out for the Championship title. Daniel Farke and Scott Parker both secured their third promotion, and both sides sit on 94 points.
Leeds take on Bristol City before travelling south to Plymouth Argyle to complete the 2024-25 season. The Whites have managed to secure promotion without having to go through the play-offs, once again.
All eyes will now be on the summer transfer market, with both sides expected to invest heavily in order to stand a chance of survival in the Premier League. But Burnley are set to steal a march on Leeds, already.

Burnley set to steal march on Leeds with first summer signing
The 49ers want to make six new signings this summer, with Adam Pope expecting the club to spend more than £100m if they want to survive. Phil Hay says The 49ers and RedBull give Leeds a chance of survival.
But it is Burnley that are will make the first signings between the two sides, in the form of a former Leeds man. Jaidon Anthony confirmed to Burnley Express in February that if they go up, he signs permanently.
“Obviously there’s stuff that if we go up, I’ll be here permanently, which is an exciting prospect. Hopefully that happens then I’ll continue this in the Premier League and keep helping Burnley Football Club.”
Sky’s Mark McAdam reported that Burnley will pay an £8m fee for Anthony. TalkSPORT meanwhile say Marcus Edwards will also sign for Burnley in the event of promotion from Sporting, again costing £8m.
McAdam reported: Jaidon Anthony will join Burnley permanently after their promotion. Believe it was an £8m obligation upon promotion. Option to buy should they not have got promoted was at £10m.”
Burnley to also turn two other loans into permanent transfers
Burnley then will sign Anthony and Edwards permanently for a combined £16m, two attacking players that have played a key part in promotion. Anthony has linked up well with another former Leeds loanee.
Connor Roberts and Anthony have worked well on Burnley’s right flank. Burnley are also set to spend around £20m more on two others, having agreed obligations for Bashir Humphreys and Zian Flemming.

Humphreys is set to cost Burnley around £12m, with Burnley already agreeing the mandatory clause last summer. The same with Flemming, as he joins for around £7m from Millwall after a solid Burnley season.
So, Burnley are about to spend the best part of £40m. Four crucial signings that they will have planned for, but perhaps a bonus for Leeds in that it is £40m spent without actually improving the current side.
