Leeds United are in for a busy summer window whether they do obtain promotion to the Premier League or are forced to endure another season in the Championship.
Promotion will see Leeds enter the transfer market backed with the financial power of The 49ers and RedBull’s cash injection. Phil Hay says Leeds stand a good chance of survival because of their backing.
However, failure to go up is likely to see the sacking of Daniel Farke and the exit of plenty of players in order to keep finances afloat. Indeed, Leeds’ parachute payments will go from 45% to a measly 20%.
Promotion is not just something Leeds want but financially, it is a necessity. With The Whites top after 35 games and eight points clear of Burnley in third, Leeds will be planning for promotion come the summer.

Leeds United are ‘set to sign’ Manor Solomon if promoted
The on-loan Tottenham man has sparkled since joining Leeds. Clocking up 30 appearances, the Israel ace has had a hand in 15 goals and made the left flank his own. Dan James described Solomon as “brilliant”.
There is no permanent clause in Solomon’s loan from Tottenham but the chances of him returning to Spurs and having an impact are minimal. Indeed, Solomon has already hinted he would join Leeds.
TeamTalk now report that Leeds are ‘set to sign’ Solomon permanently if the club are promoted. The report says that sources have informed them that a deal for Solomon will be pursued if Leeds go up.

How much Leeds will need to spend to sign Manor Solomon…
Solomon has been immense for Leeds, a key figure in this Leeds side. A player with Premier League and Champions League experience, and one that would give Leeds a fighting chance in England’s top tier.
Reports say Leeds will need to pay between £10m and £15m to sign Solomon in the summer. A fee very affordable for the Yorkshire side should they gain promotion and Solomon will surely be open to a move.
It seems like a move that suits all parties, especially given Solomon is still only 25 years of age. Whether Leeds and Spurs can come to an arrangement remains to be seen, but it seems clear Solomon will sign.
