Leeds United are closing in on the signing of a second player in the space of a week with a deal set to be confirmed on Tuesday, and two more are expected after his arrival.
Daniel Farke made it publicly clear that he wanted four new additions after the sale of Georginio Rutter. He wanted replacements for Rutter and Crysencio Summerville, as well as a midfielder and a full-back.
He’s got his replacement for Summerville in the form of £10m addition Largie Ramazani. Manor Solomon is set to join on loan from Tottenham on Tuesday as cover for Rutter, who has joined Brighton for £40m.
Two excellent additions that have certainly dampened the disappointing departures of Summerville and Rutter. But the work is not done yet and Farke will still want a new midfielder, and a new full-back option.

The four signings that Leeds want to make before deadline
Ramazani and Solomon are excellent additions at Championship level and certainly replace the quality that was lacking following the exits of two of the best players in the division during the 2023-24 season.
Leeds have now identified the man they want in midfield, with Leeds tabling a £13m offer to sign Gustavo Hamer from Sheffield United. It has been rejected, but Sheffield United have identified a replacement.
Chris Wilder said the bid was a million miles away from their valuation, but clearly are willing to sell if the price is right. Celtic’s Mikey Johnston has been identified while Max Aarons is a Leeds target at full-back.

Ramazani, Solomon, Aarons and Hamer is incredible business
Leeds came within an inch of signing Aarons from Norwich last summer and forming a reunion between the right-back and old boss Farke. But Bournemouth hijacked a move late on and off Aarons went.
But if Leeds can now get a deal done for Aarons and increase their offer for Hamer, securing their arrivals before the deadline, it would be simply incredible business. Signings that take Leeds closer to promotion.
It wouldn’t be cheap, with Hamer and Aarons likely to cost eight-figure fees and maybe, near the £30m mark. If Leeds can get them done, it would be stunning work in the final days of the transfer window.
Aarons knows how to get promoted, Hamer has 44 goal involvements in 126 Championship games. Adding them alongside Ramazani and Solomon is a massive leap towards securing promotion this term.
