Predicted Leeds XI to face Bristol City as Junior Firpo and Largie Ramazani replacements among three changes

Daniel Farke will be forced to make some changes to his Leeds United starting XI against Bristol City.

Farke named an unchanged line-up for both wins over Sheffield United and Watford but will not be afforded that same luxury at Ashton Gate.

Junior Firpo is unavailable due to suspension meaning Farke will be forced into changing his back four for the first time all season.

Largie Ramazani suffered a twisted ankle in midweek and so now joins Ethan Ampadu, Ilia Gruev and Max Wober on the sidelines, leaving a vacancy on the wing for one of Manor Solomon or Dan James.

Goalkeeper

Illan Meslier has recovered fairly well since his error at Sunderland and of course, keeps his place in goal.

Defence

With no Firpo, Farke will have to choose from one of Sam Byram and Isaac Schmidt to take his place on the left side of defence.

Schmidt is the more like-for-like replacement due to his attacking output but Simon Grayson believes Farke will opt for Byram considering he has been used more frequently from the bench this season.

Though Jayden Bogle and Joe Rodon are both walking a suspension tightrope, the rest of Leeds’ back four will stay the same, meaning those two and Pascal Struijk start.

Midfield

Josuha Guilavogui could be in the squad for the first time since signing for Leeds but certainly isn’t fit enough to be starting.

As such, Ao Tanaka and Joe Rothwell will start in midfield together for the fourth successive match, with Tanaka absolutely outstanding against Watford.

Attack

Perhaps the biggest question mark facing Farke is who replaces Ramazani in the starting line-up considering how impressive he has been recently.

Manor Solomon was chosen ahead of Dan James on Tuesday night and despite James looking much better in his smaller amount of minutes, Farke will likely opt for the Israel international.

Brenden Aaronson scored for the first time since August against Watford and so of course keeps his place in the 10, with Mateo Joseph returning up front after a couple of ineffective performances from Joel Piroe.
