It’s the end of an era for Patrick Bamford at Leeds United as Daniel Farke has made his decision.
This decision being that his career won’t continue with Leeds, as Farke made it clear Bamford isn’t in his plans.
It’s the ending no one wanted, but the time has now come for Bamford to move on, and it looked inevitable after his injury struggles.
Despite these setbacks, Bamford is at peak fitness, and Leeds could regret a sale with him clearly looking upwards.
Fans even spotted this with Bamford looking ‘bigger than ever’ with his new club getting a rejuvenated striker, but where will this new club be?

Patrick Bamford’s hint at next club after Leeds United exit
It’s been a difficult few seasons for the 31-year-old, who hasn’t been able to match his Premier League form.
Bamford was on fire in the top flight under Marcelo Bielsa, but after his form dipping, it’s clear Bamford would have been fourth-choice this season.
With his physique on the rise again though, if Bamford clicks with his next club, this form could be replicated.
But with not many clubs interested despite a little pursuit from Wrexham in Bamford, the striker may have already given a clue to where his future lies.
Speaking a few months ago, Bamford said he’s open to the MLS, as taking into account his excessive £70k-a-week wage, not many clubs that suit his ability would take him on.
This leaves America as an open option, and as things are going, it might be Bamford’s only choice.
Leeds must find Premier League-proven striker after Bamford exit
It was a risky decision to say goodbye to Bamford, but it’s probably for the best.
The only elements keeping him in the squad was his previous success in the Premier League, as Bamford has a pedigree in the top flight.
| Bamford’s statistics in 20/21 season | |
| Games played | 38 |
| Goals | 17 |
| Shots on target per 90 | 1.41 |
| Aerial duels won | 47 |
| Touches in opposition box per 90 | 5.11 |
Now, it’s up to Leeds to try and replicate that elsewhere, and although Leeds fans think Joel Piroe will succeed, he doesn’t have any experience amongst England’s elite.
A potential move for Leeds target Callum Wilson could be the plan, but with his high wage, this could also look unlikely.
The reality is that the Whites will have to take a stab in the dark with a striker who’s had success in Europe and hope that getting rid of an already Premier League-proven striker in Bamford doesn’t come back to bite them.
