Wilfried Gnonto scored a stoppage time winner to help Leeds United climb top of the Championship with an incredible 4-3 win over Swansea City. Here are our player ratings.
Illan Meslier – 4
Neither of the goals were particularly his fault but it is yet another game where Leeds seem to concede with every shot on target they face.
Jayden Bogle – 6
Saw quite a bit of the ball going forward and always looked a threat whenever he got it. Leeds ignored him too many times, which was frustrating. Lacked composure on a couple of occasions too.
Joe Rodon – 6
Made a couple of important blocks and was practically left all alone for Swansea’s second. Some really good passes through the thirds from him, too.
Pascal Struijk – 6
Great passes for both of Manor Solomon’s goal but should’ve done a lot better in dealing with the ball that came his way for Swansea’s goal just before half-time.

Sam Byram – 6
Got in some good crossing positions down the left but was unable to find his man until finally doing so for Solomon’s second. Swansea looked the most dangerous down his side.
Ao Tanaka – 9
Cleaned up a lot of potentially dangerous Swansea moments with some clean tackles and really important interventions. Just brilliant again.
Joe Rothwell – 5
Probably his worst game to date and a lot of that was down to how little he saw of the ball. That said, he did grow into it in the second half.
Dan James – 8
Showed some real composure to put it on a plate for Solomon and his pressing almost got Leeds in a couple of times. Hattrick of assists after playing through Wilfried Gnonto.
Brenden Aaronson – 5
Undoubtedly the most ineffective of Leeds’ three men behind the striker. Didn’t really see any of the ball in areas that could hurt Swansea.
Manor Solomon – 7
Easily his best game since his first against Hull City, even aside from his goals, which were big moments for him. Really pleasing to see his Leeds career ignite.
Joel Piroe – 4
Another game in which Joel Piroe starts, another game in which he fails to make an impact. His role should be coming off the bench, which is where he’s been at his best this season. Poor that Daniel Farke hasn’t seen this yet.
Subs
Wilfried Gnonto – 7
Barely touched the ball other than his goal, but that’s all he needed. What a moment.
Mateo Joseph – n/a
Brought on with 20 to play and spent much of it closing people down. Should’ve scored though.
Max Wober – n/a
Josuha Guilavogui – n/a
James Debayo – n/a
