Leeds United take on Millwall on Wednesday night in what promises to be a much tougher test than the easy win over Plymouth Argyle on Saturday, a game which Daniel Farke’s side won 3-0.
Dan James, Joel Piroe and Brenden Aaronson all found the back of the net in what was an easy win for Daniel Farke’s men. A seventh win, and an eighth clean sheet in the club’s 13th Championship outing.
On Wednesday night, no.14 sees Leeds travel to the capital to take on Neil Harris’ Millwall. The Lions manager has a history with Leeds, and has been doing plenty of talking ahead of the rival encounter.
Harris has told his players Burnley was just a warm-up for Leeds, having beaten Scott Parker’s men on Sunday afternoon. Millwall have three wins in a row, but Leeds might just have a secret weapon.
Patrick Bamford’s record against Millwall is excellent
Farke said on Tuesday that a late call would be made on Patrick Bamford, before reports on Wednesday morning stated that Bamford would indeed be in the Leeds’ squad to take on Millwall at The Den.
The chances are that Bamford is not going to start on Wednesday night, but his record against Millwall is excellent. Nine games, six wins, four goals and an assist – Bamford has a brilliant record against the Lions.
What are Joel Piroe and Mateo Joseph’s Millwall record?
Joel Piroe’s record is not bad either, largely helped by his brace and Leeds’ two wins against Millwall last season. Mateo Joseph has not started a game against The Lions, but he will play his part at some point.

Piroe is likely to start against Millwall having netted on Saturday and Joseph has largely been second choice this season. But if Leeds need a goal, a player capable of scoring at Millwall, Bamford is the man.
He has scored at The Den, he has scored against Millwall at Leeds and if he is fit enough to be on the bench, then it might come as no surprise that Farke could turn to the one-time England man tonight.
