Daniel Farke has done a tremendous job so far to ease relegation fears at Leeds.
The 49ers considered sacking Farke at the end of last season amid concerns over his previous efforts in the Premier League, where he was sacked by Norwich in November 2021 after taking just five points from the first 11 games.
In the 2019/20 campaign, the German was allowed to see out the season at Norwich, but finished bottom on 21 points.
Daniel Farke can now boast 11 points from the first nine games of this current campaign – putting Leeds six points above the relegation zone – but Jesse Marsch has already shown why nobody at Elland Road can afford to start relaxing.

Jesse Marsch was outdoing Daniel Farke in the 2022/23 campaign
After nine games of the 2022/23 Premier League campaign – which ended with Leeds in 19th – Marsch could boast 13 points and had the Whites sitting 11th.
The American also had a positive goal difference of one. As things stand, Farke has a minus five goal difference.

As a result, it looked like Leeds had a fantastic chance of survival as Nottingham Forest, Wolves and West Ham struggled, but all three stayed up while Marsch eventually oversaw a relegation.
Leeds only picked up another 18 points in the remaining 29 games of that 2022/23 campaign after an impressive opening nine matches.
Nobody at Leeds needs to tell Daniel Farke
While this is an interesting comparison to explore, we highly doubt Farke – who is almost matching Marcelo Bielsa this season – is currently getting ahead of himself.
As aforesaid, the 48-year-old has been here before with Norwich, and knows just how unforgiving the Premier League can be to those who show any complacency.
Marsch, contrastingly, was just nine games into his first full campaign as a Premier League boss, and could well have become a bit overexcited by his strong start given his inexperience – especially as it included a win over Liverpool at Anfield, which possible made him get a bit carried away.
