The last week has seen Leeds United ramp up their transfer business. Two free agents and two big-money signings could arrive at Elland Road, judging by reports, so how could Daniel Farke line up?
Leeds are expected to be busy in the transfer window this summer, having secured Premier League safety for another season. A new goalkeeper, left-back cover, a midfielder, and a no.10 are likely to be priorities.
GET HIM IN: Harry Wilson’s stats compared to Leeds’ attacking midfielders last season 😮
All stats from 2025-26 Premier League season.
In the past week, Leeds have opened talks with Germany superstar Julian Brandt in what many would consider to be a real coup. Then there is Harry Wilson, with Leeds confident of reigniting their 2025 move.
In goal, Karl Darlow is yet to sign a new deal, and Japan star Zion Suzuki has been linked with a move to Yorkshire in the coming weeks and months. Parma will charge a pretty penny for Japan’s World Cup no.1.

Shea Charles is also an option for Leeds, with Charles recently telling his agents he would like to move to Leeds this summer. Leeds have been told that he will cost north of £20m – so how can Leeds use them?
Daniel Farke’s new-look 3-4-2-1 with Wilson and Brandt
Signing Suzuki would immediately end any doubts over who goes in goal. The Parma goalkeeper has been one of Serie A’s best shot-stoppers during 2025-26, though Leeds face plenty of competition.
Centre-back remains the same given the form of Joe Rodon, Jaka Bijol and Pascal Struijk, though Leeds will have to offer Struijk a new contract to end off interest from Tottenham and other top-flight sides.

In a new-look 3-4-2-1 system, Farke will have to use two central midfielders. Ethan Ampadu and Anton Stach were arguably Leeds’ best two midfielders last season, with Ampadu Leeds’ Player of the Season.
Wilson, Brandt and Dominic Calvert-Lewin in attack
Jayden Bogle and Gabi Gudmundsson did more than enough to show they can be the club’s wing-backs going into 2026-27, but the major change is in attack if Leeds manage to sign Wilson and Brandt.
How Leeds could line-up in 2026-27 with four new arrivals 👀
Suzuki, Charles, Brandt and Wilson all linked.
Both signings would be deemed huge coups, and if they arrive, they will expect to start. To include both, a 3-4-2-1 system retains the three-man defence that worked so well, but incorporates both no.10’s.
Up top, Dominic Calvert-Lewin continues for Leeds, while potential new signing Charles may have to contend with a place on the bench to begin with. At his age, he will surely understand that initially.
A slight formation change, definitely a more attacking line-up and a front three that would strike fear into Leeds’ opponents. Even Noah Okafor may have to warm the bench if Leeds get Wilson and Brandt.
