Leeds United remain in the transfer market for more signings with the Premier League campaign set to get underway for The Whites this evening, as Daniel Farke’s side welcome Everton.

The Mail report over the weekend that after the signing of Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Leeds are still looking at another striker. The club also want a left-sided winger to replace Manor Solomon and full-back cover.

Below, we look at the five players who could end up at Elland Road this week. The club are reportedly in advanced talks for one player, while a deal is now in doubt for another after picking up a weekend injury.

Five players Leeds United could sign this week

Ermedin Demirovic – Stuttgart

Leeds have been linked Stuttgart’s no.9 Demirovic after the Bosnia star enjoyed an excellent campaign last season, scoring 17 goals for the Bundesliga side. He fits the bill, over 6ft and he turned 27 in March.

Demirovic also boasts plenty of experience, an international like six of Leeds’ eight signings. He’s played in four different countries, but Demirovic would be expensive. Kicker say Stuttgart want a massive £34.5m.

Fotis Ioannidis – Panathinaikos

Another option being considered by Leeds is Panathinaikos captain Ioannidis. A story that was reported by BBC Sport, and followed up by Adam Pope. Leicester tried to sign Ioannidis with a £23m bid in 2024.

Perhaps, a move for Ioannidis makes slightly more sense than Demirovic given he is able to play out wide. But it is also fair to argue that there are better options out there, even if Ioannidis will be keen on a move.

James Justin – Leicester City

Ahead of the weekend, it is said Leeds were closing in on signing Justin, Leicester’s England international. However, Marti Cifuentes confirmed that Justin has picked up an injury during Leicester’s loss to Preston.

It is unclear the extent of the injury, though Cifuentes did confirm that it was an impact injury rather than a muscle issue. That might give Leeds some hope that a £6m deal for Justin is still very possible.

Noah Okafor – AC Milan

After the initial interest, it is now being claimed that Leeds have agreed personal terms with Okafor. The Switzerland international gave Leeds a glimpse of what he is capable of, playing for Milan in Dublin.

But, Leeds have a concern regarding Okafor and it is his injury record. Having already signed Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Lukas Nmecha, two injury-prone forwards, do Leeds really want to bring in another?

Nico Gonzalez – Juventus

The Argentina international would be a stunning signing. A main man for Stuttgart and Fiorentina before his move to Juventus last summer, LeedsUnited.News has been told that Gonzalez is better than Okafor.

Graham Smyth detailed the initial interest in Gonzalez. The Juventus winger is said to have handed in a transfer request, with Gonzalez allowed to leave Juventus for £26m. It would be a real signal of intent.
