The EFL hasn’t been very kind with its decisions recently, which could negatively affect Leeds United’s promotion chances.

It’s been a season full of controversy, and Leeds fans will hope that if they achieve promotion, things will improve in the Premier League.

This certainly isn’t guaranteed, but there have been baffling findings recently, one being no yellow card after 43 fouls at Elland Road, which sums up the state of refereeing.

Pascal Struijk has hinted to VAR, as the Dutchman probably can’t wait to have it at Leeds’ disposal next season.

Daniel Farke won’t enjoy the continuous announcements going against the Whites, and this frustration could grow even more after a similar scenario has occurred.

EFL make Leeds United vs Preston announcement for April

The announcements are coming thick and fast as the Championship promotion run-in is well underway.

Ahead of QPR on Saturday, Tim Robinson has been appointed referee, which spells trouble as Leeds have a dodgy record when Robinson is the man in the middle.

But now, further down the line, it has been announced by the EFL that they have selected Leeds’ bout with Preston on the 12th of April to be selected for TV coverage, with it being moved to another 12:30 pm kick-off.

This will add to Leeds fans’ frustration, but what Farke has said previously may suggest the Whites boss has reached the end of his tether with the EFL.

Farke has raised ‘worry’ with Leeds vs Preston announcement before

It seems like a reoccurring thing that Leeds are handed these preposterous kick-off times after playing mid-week.

This will only add to the squad’s workload and will no doubt affect their fitness levels in such a crucial time of the season.

Leeds seem like the only side who have been handed these absurd times, and it’s certainly not sustainable.

Farke claimed the scheduling was ‘ridiculous’ last campaign, and it seems that no difference has been made, as he reiterated this point back in February.

Speaking ahead of Leeds’ clash with Watford last month in his pre-match press conference, Farke labelled the ‘worry’ that comes with these changes.

“First of all, I always hope the fixture schedule is positive for our supporters; it’s a supporters game, and you give them the opportunity in terms of travel times to make it for the games,” Farke said.

“If you’re just thinking about TV and not the supporters who attend the stadium, you will one day lose the love of our fanbase. This is my first worry.

“When you judge it just with common sense, all the supporters want the best players on the pitch and recovered, they want to see a proper product, proper football quality.

“If you’re just back in the early hours of Thursday morning and play Saturday, you have to have more changes and rotate.”

Don’t expect the Preston game to be the last rescheduled fixture for the Whites this season, as the EFL’s choices are becoming unthinkable at the moment.

Who knows what they will conjure up next for Farke and Leeds.
