There was even more controversy in Leeds United’s win against Millwall, which didn’t sit well with Daniel Farke.

The Whites are edging ever closer to a Premier League return as Farke can complete the quest he set out to do.

After the frustration of the play-off final last year, Leeds fans can finally see the improvements, and there’s been some response from Farke.

Considering Farke’s Leeds future was in doubt, it’s been an extraordinary turnaround by the German.

But despite all this hard work, refereeing inconsistency still creeps in, as Joel Piroe was fuming with an error made vs Millwall, which Farke will share anger with.

Well, you can say the opposition did, but the referees once again took centre stage as a shocking decision was made.

Piroe was judged to be offside during the game, denying him a goal he very much needed after Piroe had a howler against Portsmouth.

But the linesman flagged when the Dutchman was clearly in an onside position as Farke found the Piroe decision baffling.

The Leeds striker hasn’t spoken out on the verdict until now, as he posted on his Instagram story, making his feelings clear.

In what was an impressive move between Piroe and Brenden Aaronson, the Dutchman took to his Instagram story to say: ‘If only… @baaronson7’, hinting a slight dig at the linesman’s decision.

Piroe needs a goal vs QPR after shortcomings at Leeds recently

It’s hard to say the 25-year-old needs to improve, as after 21 goal contributions in the Championship, he ranks joint top for combined goals and assists.

But Piroe has had a rough time in the last three games, taking into account his shocker at Fratton Park and everything going against him vs Millwall.

QPR opens an opportunity for Piroe to get back on track after consecutive games without a goal, and Farke will rely on the striker at such a pivotal point of the season.

You can tell his confidence is still there as Piroe sent a rallying cry to Leeds fans, but the striker just needs luck on his side, and QPR on Saturday afternoon could be the perfect opportunity.
