Leeds United fans are often very vocal and they’ve had a lot to say about one of the club’s latest transfer links.
The summer transfer window so far has been a relatively positive one for Leeds United. Daniel Farke has seven new signings through the Elland Road doors, but as the start of the new season rapidly approaches, there remain a few gaps in the side, notably up front.
The latest on Leeds United’s striker search is that Fulham’s Rodrigo Muniz remains the top target for Leeds United this summer, however the Whites continue to be knocked back in their approaches to sign the Brazilian.
There are more and more options now being linked, including Artem Dovbyk at Roma, along with Lecce’s Nikola Krstovic who remains a target. However, recent reports have revealed how Leeds could be offered the chance to sign Aleksandar Mitrovic from Al-Hilal.

Leeds United could be offered Aleksandar Mitrovic
Wherever he’s played, Mitrovic has always scored goals. The 30-year-old Serbian international may be best remembered for scoring an incredible 43 goals in 44 Championship matches as Fulham won promotion in the 2021/22 season.
The following year in the Premier League, he scored 14 goals in 24 before then being snapped up by Saudi club Al-Hilal soon after the start of the following season. He scored 28 in 28 league games in his first season then last season scored 19 in 23.
Now though, it looks as though Mitrovic could be on his way back to England and potentially with Leeds United, although it is rumoured that Mitrovic is earning up to £400,000 every week in wages with a contract running until 2026 with Al-Hilal.

Leeds United fans react to Aleksandar Mitrovic rumours
Needless to say, Leeds United fans have had plenty to say online about the chances and the idea of Mitrovic heading to Elland Road this summer. Despite his strong goals record and his experience of the Premier League, there are very few Leeds fans open to the idea of Mitrovic, mostly because of his high wages in Saudi.
One Leeds United fan said online: “Our highest earning player is £70,000 per week. I love the idea but he doesn’t fit the current mould of players they go for, under 28. And the wages are mental. He’d need to take about a £300,000 pay cut per week.”
A similar comment read: “Couldn’t come close to his wages. Can’t imagine we’d go over £75,000-a-week.”
Meanwhile, another comment read: “Do not want Mitrovic. That would be the worst signing of the summer. Nothing to do with wages but he doesn’t fit the Leeds mould. He’s been in Saudi for a year or two, whatever it is, he was already sluggish before, be even more so now.”
Meanwhile, this Leeds United fan posted online: “This is so disappointing, especially after the Igor Paixao chase.”
As one other Leeds supporter weighed in with: “The whole 49ers transfer approach is to try sign people who they know will never join so it looks like they’d do something. Third season in a row of this.”
Leeds United play AC Milan in a pre-season friendly on Saturday, before kicking off their Premier League campaign against Everton the following week.
