Leeds United tried to sign Milot Rashica, a player Daniel Farke raved about when he was in charge of Norwich City.
That is according to Takvim, who has claimed how much transfer fee Leeds were willing to pay for Rashica.

Leeds United tried to sign Milot Rashica
Well, according to Takvim, Leeds United wanted to sign Milot Rashica from Besiktas in the January transfer window.
The report in the Turkish news outlet has claimed that Leeds made an offer of €7 million (£5.98 million) for the winger, but Besiktas turned it down.
The Turkish giants signed the 27-year-old winger from Norwich City in the summer of 2023 for £4.5 million (Eastern Daily Press).
Takvim has claimed that Rashica is happy at Besiktas and did not want to leave, so he turned down the chance to move to Leeds and work with Daniel Farke again.
The Kosovo international, who can also play as an attacking midfielder, joined Norwich City from Werder Bremen in the summer of 2021.
Farke was then in charge of Norwich, and the current Leeds head coach raved about him at the time.
He told Norwich’s official website about Rashica: “With Milot we have a very interesting player and we’re delighted to have been able to bring him to Norwich City. Many top clubs have been interested in his signature over the last seasons and he was quite often connected with a big money move.
“In Germany he spent his time with Werder Bremen, who were struggling a bit last season, but Milot is a player full of potential. He’s quick and smart in his movements, technically good and great in finishing and assisting goals. He has delivered many end products and although he is young, he has played many games at the top level.
“He’s a player who can do something outstanding in the offence. We also got the feeling from his age, ability, potential and personality that he will fit in quite well to our group. We hope that he can improve our offensive game.“He can play a number of positions, as a winger, striker or number ten. He’s a pretty versatile player and we’re happy to be able to bring a quality player in.”
My View: Leeds United should continue to monitor Milot Rashica
In my opinion, Leeds United should continue to keep tabs on Milot Rashica and should revisit their interest in him in the summer transfer window.
Leeds head coach Daniel Farke worked with Rashica when he was in charge of Norwich City, so clearly he knows the winger and wants him at Elland Road.
If Leeds wanted to sign the Kosovo international in the January transfer window, then it is unlikely that their interest will wane in the coming weeks and months.
I think that the West Yorkshire club should keep monitoring the former Werder Bremen winger and should try to sign him again in the summer transfer window.
Leeds, who won this past weekend, are doing well in the Championship at the moment and could end up in the top two of the league table, which means that they would win automatic promotion to the Premier League.
During his time at Norwich, Rashica made 31 appearances in the Premier League. He scored one goal and gave two assists in those games.
