Wilfried Gnonto sends one-word message to Georginio Rutter after he scores against Man United

Leeds United fans will be thrilled at the prospect of Wilfried Gnonto showing his support for former Whites star Georginio Rutter.

Rutter enjoyed a strong period with Leeds and developed a great bond with Gnonto.

The Italian seems to be a likeable figure around the Leeds camp as Gnonto also receive help from Josuha Guilavogui.

He’s got a strong relationship with manager Daniel Farke to add to that as Farke praised Gnonto as Excellent as he seems to bring the right energy Leeds need both on and off the pitch.

The 21-year-old praised Rutter once again after the Frenchman scored against bitter rivals Manchester United on Sunday.

Rutter played his part in Brighton’s 3-1 victory at Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon as the 22-year-old has fit in well on the seaside.

You’d imagine judging by past history Gnonto would be the first Leeds squad member to show his support, and you would be right.

The Brighton attacker took to his Instagram after another victory at Old Trafford, as Rutter put the caption: “In french we say INCROYABLE !!”

Gnonto responded in a heartfelt way to his former French teammate saying: “Merci (Thank you)” with a heart emoji attached.

Gnonto continues to support former Leeds player Rutter

The pair were brilliant for Leeds last season, making the Whites’ attack very dangerous to come up against.

It’s not a surprising occurrence anymore that the Italian is still showing support for his ex-teammate, as Gnonto was impressed with Rutter against Tottenham.

Leeds fans would no doubt take the 22-year-old back in a heartbeat as he is making his mark on the Premier League stage.

Who knows, maybe we will see the pair meet again next season, this time in the top flight if things go to plan for Leeds.
