Wilfried Gnonto is among several players to congratulate Leeds United teammate Crysencio Summerville on his PFA player of the month award.
Summerville made it a clean sweep for the month of October, after winning Leeds’ POTM, the official Championship POTM and now the PFA’s.
Gnonto sent his response in the comments to Summerville’s Instagram post, where he expressed his gratitude at winning yet another award.
Summerville enjoyed a simply stunning run of form in October as he netted five goals and provided three assists across five matches, a run which included a match-winning brace in the comeback win at Norwich City.
His recent run has propelled him to among the leading players for goal contributions across the division, with his tally of 11 bettered only by Sammie Szmodics and Adam Armstrong.
Gnonto’s class message to Summerville shows how good he has been
Chelsea’s Ian Maatsen, Everton’s Amadou Onana and a number of his other Leeds teammates were among those in the comments to his Instagram post.
But it was Gnonto’s comment that really stood out as it shows just how much Summerville has cleaned up in terms of awards over the last couple of weeks.
Summerville is continuing to win plaudits from fans, teammates and pundits alike, with David Prutton naming him in his Championship TOTS so far earlier this week.
If he can continue his recent run of form, it is scary to envisage the numbers he could end the season on, with double figures for both goals and assists already not too far away.
Players like Summerville are what could prove to be the difference come the end of the season in the promotion race, and so hopefully he can stay fit.
