Gray signed his first professional contract in October 2025 after he turned 17, putting an end to speculation that Leeds might lose him on a free.

In a statement, the club said: “Leeds United are delighted to announce Harry Gray has put pen to paper on a first professional contract with the club.

“The highly rated striker has signed a long-term deal with the Whites to keep him at Elland Road.

Harry Gray Leeds debut

Leeds had a lot to celebrate on Easter Monday 2025 as it was the day they sealed their promotion back to the Premier League with a 6-0 hammering of Stoke City.

However, there was another beautiful moment on the day as Gray came on for his competitive senior debut.

Gray had previously played for Daniel Farke’s side in a pre-season friendly against Harrogate in 2024 but only began regularly training with the first team in March 2025.

He was given a chance to make his bow at Elland Road late on in the win over Stoke, replacing Brenden Aaronson to a rousing reception from the home supporters, who already have a chant for him.

Are Harry Gray and Archie Gray brothers?

Yes. Harry Gray is the younger brother of former Leeds midfielder Archie Gray, who moved to Tottenham in the summer of 2024.

Former Leeds midfielder Michael Brown says he’s heard Harry Gray might be rated even higher than his brother.

Archie congratulated his brother on his debut with a sweet message on Instagram, writing: “Proud brother, not a bad way to make your debut.”

The Gray legacy at Leeds United

Harry Gray has now become the fifth member of the Gray family to represent Leeds.

Harry is the grandson of Frank Gray and the great-nephew of the iconic Eddie Gray, who was in tears as Harry made his debut.

Both Harry and Archie are the sons of former striker Andy Gray, as well.

What number does Harry Gray wear for Leeds?

Gray has been allocated the No.45 shirt at Leeds.

He has not been offered an upgrade yet but will certainly be looking to get a better number in the near future.
