Pablo Hernandez has continued his strong start to life as a manager, as the Leeds United legend steered Castellon to another victory.

This is in stark contrast to current Leeds United manager Daniel Farke, who is fighting for his future as his side prepares to face Aston Villa in a crucial game.

Pablo Hernandez secures another victory with CD Castellon
Hernandez and his Castellon side faced a gruelling away trip to Andorra, where they were met by wintry conditions.
However, the Black and Whites made light work of the game against FC Andorra, who were one of Castellon’s relegation rivals not so long ago.
Castellon won 3-1, a victory which moved them up to 22 points, 20 of which have been won under the former Leeds man. The win took Hernandez’s overall record to six wins, two draws and two defeats from his 10 league games in charge.
Hernandez previously revealed the influence of Marcelo Bielsa on his coaching philosophy, and the similarities were pointed out by Diario AS, who said: “[Castellon’s] relentless attacking style, in its purest form, sealed the fate of a completely out-of-form Andorra.”
The win moves Castellon into the coveted sixth-place spot, which would see them qualify for the play-offs if the season ended today. However, with just six points to make up on second place, Hernandez has given his side an outside chance of sealing an automatic place.

In the week that Bielsa quashed any hope of an immediate return to Leeds, Hernandez’s strong start to life as a manager means another legend of that era could be a future candidate to manage Leeds in the future.
Speaking to Flashscore in 2024, Hernandez admitted that a return to Elland Road or his former club Valencia as a manager would be a “dream” in the future.
Asked if he had ambitions to manage either Leeds or Valencia, Hernandez said: “Obviously, the clubs that are so important to me would be a dream, but it is something I am not considering at the moment.
“First, I want to learn a lot, I have a lot to learn, see if this is what really fulfils me and what I like, and in the future, we will see what it holds.”
