Former Leeds United teammates Kalvin Phillips and Gjanni Alioski were spotted reuniting last night.

The two went up against each other on international duty as North Macedonia managed to hold England to a 1-1 draw in the final match of qualifying for the European Championships before they were spotted at the end of the game, as per Twitter.

Phillips was actually an unused substitute for the match but Alioski played 90 minutes and produced an impressive performance at left wing-back up against Arsenal star Bukayo Saka.

It has been a tough season at club level for both players with Phillips set to leave City due to a lack of game time, and Alioski not having been involved at all for Al-Ahli since the end of August.

They were, however, involved in a squad at Leeds which was one the most successful of the modern era, winning promotion to the Premier League, before then finishing ninth.

That squad will forever be remembered for the good times they gave Leeds supporters, but it also always clear what a good relationship they had off the pitch.

Both players remain firm favourites at Elland Road despite their respective departures, and so seeing them briefly reunite will be a nice sight for fans.

They did of course also catch up with each other back in June when Phillips scored his first ever England goal in a 7-0 rout over North Macedonia at Old Trafford.

January could well represent a big month for the two former Leeds stars with Phillips almost certainly set to leave Manchester City, and Alioski seemingly having no future in Saudi Arabia.

It would not be a surprise to see Alioski make a return to Europe, while Phillips has been linked to a host of new clubs including Juventus, Newcastle United and Everton.
