‘What are we thinking’… Furious Leeds United fans think the club has just made an ‘insane’ decision

Leeds United look as though they’re ready to throw some cash around in the transfer market this summer, with the potential that we see a new club record signing made.

Leeds United have a stunning £150million transfer budget for this summer, and manager Daniel Farke looks set to spend most, if not all of it on new players.

Already, Leeds United have signed Lukas Nmecha on a free transfer and agreed a £19million deal to sign Jaka Bijol from Udinese.

Who knows what’s next. But there’s certainly a lot going on at Elland Road and one player who Daniel Farke looks particularly keen on signing this summer is Fulham striker Rodrigo Muniz.

The latest on Rodrigo Muniz to Leeds United

Muniz has been linked with a shock move to Leeds United this summer, following his impressive 2024/25 season for Fulham. The Brazilian, 24, scored eight goals in 31 Premier League appearances, whilst only actually starting eight times.

It’s been claimed that Fulham want £50million to sell Muniz this summer. But Farke has lowballed the Cottagers, with reports that Leeds United have seen a £32million bid for Muniz rejected already this summer.

Muniz is one of several strikers linked with a move to West Yorkshire this summer, but he certainly seems to be the one that Farke is working hardest to sign right now.

Leeds United fans all in agreement about Rodrigo Muniz transfer rumours

Reacting to the news of a rejected bid for Muniz, Leeds United fans had plenty to say online, and the vast majority think that £32million for the Fulham ace is simply way too much.

One fan posted: “£32million for Muniz? Good centre-forward, like his profile, strong, athletic, nice finisher, but that price is insane.” Another Leeds United supporter posted: “£32million for a super sub? Absurd.”

Others weighed in, too. Comments read: “There’s better out there and cheaper just move on”, “I don’t think we should pay £32million for him, best to look elsewhere”, and even “He isn’t even worth £15million.”

This Leeds fan wrote: “I’d be looking elsewhere. In what world have Fulham come to that evaluation? £25million tops.”

Fulham paid £7million to sign Muniz from Brazilian side Flamengo in 2021. He’s under contract until the summer of 2026 though Fulham have an option to extend that by a further year.
